This is one of my favourite photos of the 3 of us,

I was born and raised in Ambleside in the Lake District and growing up we always had a dog in the family, we had smooth haired Lakeland terriers and my parents have stuck with this tradition and currently have Misty Moo.

I left Ambleside in 1996 and moved to Windermere and for a long time didn't have a dog in my life but in 2009 I met my other half who had a wonderful cocker spaniel and I fell in love with the breed and with her. When we lost Tyler there was a huge void and we lasted a total of 3 weeks before we found Dilly and then 5 months later found Charlie boy. I love both of them with all my heart and they bring me so much joy and laughter on a daily basis.

I have always had an affinity with dogs and because of this I decided to take a short 8 week course on the basics of dog grooming just to see if I liked it, I didn't just like it I absolutely loved it and it spurred me on to complete a level 3 city and guilds grooming course which I completed in May 2017.

I started off grooming in customers homes in north Lancashire (as I currently live in Morecambe) and up in the South Lakes, but set my heart on having my own grooming parlour, I was fortunate and found the perfect place set in the Artists Courtyard on Lake Road just as you leave Ambleside to go to Waterhead and then onto Windermere.

I love the fact that I get to meet all different breeds and they all have such different personalities, my job is the best job in the world and it makes me smile every day. I treat all of the dogs as if they were my own, I talk to them in silly voices, give them kisses and cuddles and generally make a big fuss each time I see them, I fall in love with each and every one of them.
